GLENDALOUGH Bed and Breakfast is located 4 km north of central Melbourne in the quiet secluded historic Travancore Estate. A period mansion built in grand style in 1924 and authentically restored by your host, a designated Heritage Building by Heritage Victoria the house is set in tranquil garden surroundings high on the hill.

GLENDALOUGH has 4 guest rooms with queen, double or single beds with shared bathroom facilities. All have TV, heating and electric blankets and are smoke free. The upstairs guest rooms have stunning views and share a magnificent sunny attic lounge area with TV, video and library. Downstairs there is a grand piano in the Music Room. The Heritage Room has a four poster bed while the Scroll Room is a suite with an open fire, comfortable sofas and a library. Breakfast is served in the dining room downstairs adjacent to the 1920's country style kitchen, with its wood stove and walk in pantry. Coffee and tea making facilities are available. GLENDALOUGH is 15 minutes by tram 59 from central Melbourne, 20 minutes from Melbourne Airport (pickup can be arranged), and close to the Northside venues in Collingwood, as well as the Kensington cafe society. Also close by are Flemington Racecourse, the home of the Melbourne Cup, Moonee Valley Racecourse, the Docklands and the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds and Melbourne Zoo.
